More flight training organizations than ever before are currently making the switch to FlightLogger’s flight training management platform. Recently, the newly started Lusofly Academy became the 5th Portuguese flight academy to take on the platform after completing a couple of training days at their academy.

Located in the most northern part of Portugal next to the Spanish border, Lusofly Academy has just recently opened their operations. After months of planning, the academy is ready to start up their first batch of students this summer.
Ready to go live with the first pilot students this summer
With their first Sonaca 201 aircraft expected to arrive in June this year, Head of Training and Co-founder Joao Roque Santos and his colleagues are eagerly awaiting the summer to arrive. It marks the final step of a huge preparation process that Lusofly Academy has been through before taking on their first students.
“We have spent a lot of time and resources preparing for the launch of our new academy. It’s been a huge task to get everything ready for our first class of pilot students, but now we are finally set”, said Joao Roque Santos. One of the last things to sort out was the implementation of a digital system to handle their daily operations efficiently, and FlightLogger had already been chosen a while back.
Earlier this month, FlightLogger had one of their implementation consultants visit Lusofly Academy to provide two days of training for all of the academy’s administrators and instructors as part of the onboarding service. “The fact that FlightLogger sends a consultant all the way to Portugal to train us shows how dedicated both we and FlightLogger are to make this a success”, Joao Roque Santos continued. “FlightLogger will be the pivotal tool for both staff, instructors, and students, so we want to do all we can to get everybody off to a good start.”
With the training and implementation done, Lusofly Academy is set to welcome their first students this summer.
