We are happy to announce yet another flight school joining the FlightLogger family. This week, Omni Aviation Training Center (OATC) finished their onboarding and thereby became the third Portuguese pilot training organization to use FlightLogger for managing daily operations.
OATC, based in Portugal’s capital Lisbon, has flown more than 35,000 hours and taught more than 25,000 hours of theoretical classes since the school was launched in 1988. The training organization today holds a fleet of both single and multi-engine aircraft and simulators as well as helicopters.
Needed a comprehensive solution for managing daily operations
Omni Aviation Training Center has been operative for many years and until this summer they had been using another digital solution – a solution that required a lot of administration to be handled via Excel spreadsheets, causing quite inefficient internal processes.
Earlier this year, OATC therefore started looking for a solution that allowed them to handle all their operations within the same system. “We mainly used our previous system for planning and notifications while most other tasks had to be handled separately. We really needed something to consolidate our operations in an easy-to-use interface and some of us already knew the FlightLogger solution from other schools”, says Dylan Van Haasen, chief flight instructor at OATC.
FlightLogger’s feature set and user-friendliness made the difference
First step was to contact FlightLogger for an online demo of the platform, which was then weighed against a handful of other solutions. However, it didn’t take Dylan Van Haasen and the rest of OATC’s management much time to decide that FlightLogger was the right platform for their needs – and just some months later on, OATC is now live with their new solution.
“We are impressed with the feature set and user friendliness of FlightLogger in general. It’s a simple pricing model and the implementation and onboarding has only confirmed that we made the right choice in selecting FlightLogger”, Dylan Van Haasen explains.
On coming home from two training days in Lisbon, FlightLogger implementation consultant Martin Mikkelsen is just as excited about the new partnership with OATC: “It’s been a real pleasure to meet the team at OATC and feel their high expectations of FlightLogger, which we will do our very best to live up to.”
At FlightLogger, we are thrilled and thankful in welcoming Omni Aviation Training Center as the newest member of our FlightLogger family.
