FlightLogger’s digital platform matches flight training organizations of most sizes and shapes. This is easily confirmed by looking at the constantly growing partner list which holds anything from small aero clubs to some of the largest flight training organizations on the market. This month, FlightLogger welcomes one of Portugal’s biggest schools, Aeronautical Web Academy (AWA), as a new client.
About Aeronautical Web Academy
With a total of 20 aircraft and more than 70 flight and ground instructors, AWA is among the largest flight training organizations on the Iberian Peninsula. The school was founded in 2008 and today operates from the Cascais and Évora aerodromes in and around Lisbon, where both integrated and modular ATPL training is offered.
Changing to FlightLogger proved easier than expected
One of the main obstacles of changing from AWA’s existing management system to FlightLogger was a worry about how much efforts was required to make the change.
“Being a large organization with many users, aircraft, training programs, and other resources meant we dreaded a huge amount of work for our operations staff for making such a change of systems. But FlightLogger convinced us that they had done this many times before and that their implementation processes required very little from us. Luckily, this proved to be true. The migration has been carried out smoothly, and shifting to FlightLogger has definitely been worth it”, says Andre Garcia, the Maintenance Manager at AWA.
As always FlightLogger’s implementation team took care of loading all users and resources into AWA’s account, together with their existing training syllabi. This way, AWA were handed a turnkey solution after completing two days of training with one of FlightLogger’s implementation consultants.
A welcome from FlightLogger to all students, instructors, staff, and managers at Aeronautical Web Academy, who is the 4th Portuguese flight training academy to join as partners.
