It’s nothing short of a historic day at the FlightLogger office in Aarhus, Denmark. 11 years after the company was founded, FlightLogger can now celebrate having partners across all 6 populated continents in the world – as Del Viento Aviation from Uruguay becomes the first South American flight training organization to implement the digital FlightLogger platform.
About Del Viento Aviation
Del Viento Aviation is based at Montevideo’s spectacular Carrasco Airport, the main international airport of Uruguay. The school is known as quite a pioneer school in its country, boasting some of the most modern technologies available. Not least a heartfelt passion for the environment makes Del Viento Aviation stand out from the crowd, exemplified by a fleet that consists of energy efficient Pipistrel aircraft.
Del Viento Aviation was established in 2010 and is today part of the Del Viento Group, known for its innovative vision, environmental awareness and operational excellence. The name Del Viento is Spanish for The Wind.
Del Viento paves the way for more South American flight schools
With such an innovative approach it was no surprise that Del Viento Aviation became the first South American school to implement FlightLogger.
“We already knew FlightLogger for a couple of years, but we have grown a bit and now was the time for us to take the next step in streamlining our operations even more”, says General Manager Andres Martin Valdez from Del Viento Aviation. His partner and co-founder Pedro Otheguy adds: “We see ourselves as a frontrunner within flight training in Uruguay and South America. Adopting a digital platform for managing our daily operations has been part of our plan for a while, and FlightLogger stood out in how adaptable it was to our needs.”
For FlightLogger’s CEO Kenneth Jeppesen and his team, having partners in all 6 inhabited continents is a huge milestone achieved. “It’s something we have worked hard for, and I had a feeling Del Viento Aviation would be the first ones to join us”, says Kenneth Jeppesen. “Andres, Pedro, and their team never seemed worried about being the first school in South America to use the platform, since they immediately recognized how versatile our platform is. We know that other schools from South America are now looking at FlightLogger, so I hope Del Viento Aviation will be joined by many others very soon.”
The fact that FlightLogger is now used by flight training organizations across Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, North America, and now also South America truly cements FlightLogger’s status as the leading provider worldwide. Over 140 training organizations in 45 countries use the platform today, with more than 20 additional schools currently in the process to be onboarded.
From the FlightLogger office, we’re sending our warmest welcome to all students, instructors, staff and managers at Del Viento Aviation. We’re thrilled to have you on board.
