Since FlightLogger was founded in 2011, more than 135 flight training organizations have taken on the digital platform for managing flight training. Today FlightLogger has the pleasure of welcoming the 6th FlightLogger partner in Italy. Last year, Italfly went looking for a comprehensive flight training management system to replace several small systems. They ended up going for FlightLogger after seeing the efficiency they were able to achieve using the platform.
About Italfly
Based in Trento approximately 100 km north of beautiful Verona in northern Italy, Italfly has provided flight training since 1987. Today, their training services include both CPL and PPL training for rotor as well as fixed wing aircraft. Italfly was the first helicopter flight school to be a certified ATO according to the new EASA regulations, and in 2015 the flight academy added a certified drone pilot training program as well.
Found the all-in-one solution they needed for digitalizing flight training
Last summer, Italfly started searching the market for a comprehensive digital tool and quickly discovered FlightLogger. Realizing how FlightLogger could help Italfly digitalize their scheduling and administration of theoretical and practical training – and generally streamline their flight training operation – they signed up for a demo of the platform. After being introduced to the FlightLogger platform through an online walk-through of the platform, General Manager Luca Nabacino and Head of Training Christoph Goetsch were both convinced.
From there on it was just a matter of finding the right timing to do the implementation. “The new KSA 100 requirements meant we couldn’t get started right away. After that was done, our first priority was to get on board with FlightLogger, since we could see how it would help make our daily operations much more efficient”, says Luca Nabacino.
Due to Covid restrictions, the entire onboarding of Italfly had to be carried out online. This included the standard two days of training for all administrators and instructors at the academy. A month later, Luca, Christoph and the rest of the team have now brought their new FlightLogger platform into full use. FlightLogger replaces several dedicated systems that Italfly has used until now.
FlightLogger is happy to welcome all students, instructors, staff, and managers at Italfly to the FlightLogger family.
