As the aviation industry shows initial signs of recovery following Covid-19, a brand-new flight school has been granted ATO approval by the Icelandic Transport Authority this spring. The new training organization comes with plenty of experience and has chosen FlightLogger as their digital training management platform.
Based at the Reykjavik Airport, Icelandic Aviation Training (IAT) was founded by a group of experienced captains, instructors, and ATO personnel – some of which have served more than 30 years as professional pilots or cabin crew members. The training organization already provides a large range of multi pilot training, type rating courses and other training courses.
FlightLogger was a no-brainer
When preparing the startup of IAT, FlightLogger’s digital platform was no stranger to the Head of Training, Solvi Thordarson. “Some of my colleagues and I had already been using FlightLogger at previous workplaces. We have always liked the platform and never had any doubt that we wanted to use FlightLogger at IAT”, says Solvi Thordarson.
The fact that IAT, along with many other newly started pilot training organizations have chosen FlightLogger due to previous positive experiences from using the platform is very pleasing to FlightLogger CEO, Kenneth Jeppesen: “When experienced professionals like Solvi, who are well familiar with the FlightLogger solution, decide to bring it on to a new organization, it validates the value we provide much better than we could ever do ourselves.”
Icelandic Aviation is now the second pilot training organization using FlightLogger on the beautiful island located in the North Atlantics. Welcome on board!
