When the newly founded training organisation Yorkshire Aviation Academy went live as the 11th FlightLogger partner from the United Kingdom last week, it was after an implementation done at a record breaking pace, which meant they were fully onboarded after less than 3 weeks.
Leeds-based Yorkshire Aviation Academy was founded by Terry Preston and Nick Denby early 2021 to offer a diverse range of services ranging from aircraft sales and management to ferry services – and of course pilot training. What really makes Yorkshire Aviation Academy stand out from the typical training organization is the integration of pilot competences into general aviation training, from foundation PPL through to Advanced Training Courses. Additionally, their pilot mentoring program provides advice and guidance to pilots, whether expanding their experience or striving towards a career in aviation, from experienced airline pilots who are passionate about helping others.
Less than 3 weeks from decision to going live
Yorkshire Aviation Academy founders Terry Preston and Nick Denby didn’t need much time for weighing up FlightLogger’s flight school management platform against the alternatives before deciding to sign up. Ease of use and a fitting feature set to handle Yorkshire Aviation Academy’s multiple operations were among the main reasons why FlightLogger became the preferred digital platform. “It was quickly clear to me that FlightLogger fits our business very well, since it’s great for managing our pilot training but also for general aircraft availability and scheduling, flight logging and for managing aircraft maintenance”, Terry Preston explains.
From when the decision to become a FlightLogger partner was made it didn’t take long before Yorkshire Aviation Academy was completely onboarded and ready to go live with their FlightLogger platform. “The implementation and training of our staff has really been smooth and professional. The fact that we are up and running less than 3 weeks after deciding to go with FlightLogger is really impressive, especially considering the fact that all our training programs have been implemented and our staff has been trained in how to use the platform”, says Terry Preston.
25th academy to join FlightLogger during the pandemic
Like most business managers within the aviation industry FlightLogger CEO Kenneth Jeppesen was worried when COVID-19 hit the entire world in March 2020. “But the fact that 25 training organisations have now joined us during the pandemic has really reassured us in the belief that strengthening core operations through a digital management platform has become even more important for pilot training organisations this last year. We have many other partners in implementation currently, and it seems that many, like Yorkshire Aviation Academy, are seeing light at the end of the tunnel for the pilot training industry”, says a very happy Kenneth Jeppesen.
At FlightLogger we are excited to wish Yorkshire Aviation Academy welcome as our newest partner.
