On the 15th of August at 07:00 AM UTC FlightLogger will release yet another update to improve its flight school management system. The release will include a number of new account settings to manage bookings in FlightLogger. Other improvements include additional reports, improved performance, and bug fixes.

New Account setting – Control booking survival time
As of today, the following rules apply to the bookings in FlightLogger:
- All “flight bookings” that is not cancelled or completed within 48 hours will automatically disappear from the Instructors/Crew/Renters frontpage
- All “ground school bookings” will remain on the Instructors frontpage until they are cancelled or completed
With this new account setting, administrators can control when an “uncompleted booking” disappears from the Instructors/Crew/Renters frontpage.
By removing “checkmarks” bookings (flight and/or ground school) will remain on the Instructors/Crew/Renters frontpage until they are cancelled or completed
This new account setting can be found via Administration->Account settings->Booking
New account setting – Enable/Disable “complete without a booking”
As of today Instructors/Crew/Renters can make registrations “without a booking”.
This new account setting allows the administration to control if Instructors/Crew/Renters can make registrations without a booking.
The new account setting can be found via Administration->Account settings->Booking
New account setting – Report export in seconds or hours
This new account setting allows the administration to control if XML and CSV exports are exported in seconds or hours.
The new account setting can be found via Administration->Account settings->Report settings
Raw data reports on individual users
As of today, administrators can find Raw data reports for both “flights” and “theory” in the main report tab in FlightLogger.
These reports are now also available on each individual user in FlightLogger.
Both the “Raw data – theory report” and the “Raw data – flight report” can be found via the user profile under “Reports”.
Performance optimization and other improvements
Together with these new features, FlightLogger has also added optimizations to further improve the technical performance of FlightLogger.
It’s an ongoing task and a high priority for the FlightLogger team to ensure a fast and reliable service to all customers as more operations join FlightLoggers training management system.
Hence more than 30 smaller changes/fixes/improvements have also been released with this update.
Each of these relates to occurrences in “edge cases” and will not be described further.
