On Monday the 18th of September at 06:00 AM UTC FlightLogger will add yet another great update with various improvements.
!OBS -> Please take a close look at “Improved certificate rules” to make sure your account is setup the way you want <- OBS!
In order to optimise the overall user experience for both bookers, administrators and pilots, FlightLogger is introducing a new booking design.
The new design affects front page bookings, booking hover/popup, calendar synchronization and profile bookings.
In short, user icons will be replacing text while certificate icons will help crew and instructors identify if users are “current” directly from their front page.
To further guide the crew and instructors in their everyday busy schedule, the booking date will now show green for “due today” and red for “missing completion”.
Improved certificate rules
When it comes to approving certificates there has been many great customer inputs in regards to making this area more customisable.
Hence we have further improved the rules for who can approve certificates in FlightLogger!
To clarify the rules for approving certificates after this update Monday the 18th of September please find an overview below:
For those customers using the “standard setting”
The default will be that instructors, crew and administrators can approve their own certificates.
Instructors and administrators can also approve students and renters certificates.
If you want to take away one or more of these users right to approve their own certificate then simply go to:
Administration-> Account settings-> General-> Now remove the checkmark in one of the following new account settings:
- Administrator can approve their own certificates
- Instructor can approve their own certificates
- Crew can approve their own certificates
For those customers using the “certificate administrator setting”
The default will be that instructors, crew and administrators can not approve their own certificates.
Also they can not approve students and renters certificates.
Only the chosen “Certificate administrators” can approve certificates!
An administrator can make a user a “Certificate administrator” by going into “edit info” of the given user.
If you have any questions to the above then please don’t hesitate to contact us via [email protected]
As always we are ready to help you out in case you need any support!
